Acer Iconia Tab A110 is coming this Holiday Season

Acer has validated that it will be launching the Jelly Bean Iconia Tab A110 in Europe first and then in USA. The 7 inch tablet is going to come with a Tegra 3 processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB built in memory, and instead of Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich it will be running on Android’s Jelly Bean.

It has a 1024 x 600 pixels resolution display, USB, micro HDMl-port, SD card slot for external memory and a 2 MP front facing camera to take care of all incoming video calls.

Online retailer eBuyer has started taking pre-orders for this tab with a price tag of £179.99 and an online US retailer has started pre-ordering for $200.

Amazon’s 7” Kindle Fire HD starts at $199, the 8.9” cost $299 and the 8.9” LTE version costs 499. The Kindle Fire will cost $159. The Google Nexus 7 costs $199.

The Acer Iconia Tab A110 is going to come with the latest Android OS, and we hope that it comes with a big hit as well, since there is a lot going on in the 7” tab market. With the Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD already fighting, the Acer 7” slate is also coming down in the arena on this holiday season and it is not going away without a fight for good. The 7” tablet war is going to start soon. And now with Christmas just around the corner, the 7” tablet war has already begun.
