It’s a tough war to choose between both of them since both have qualities and negativities as well. The Nexus 7 has faster processor but lacks in for a pair of quality speakers. The Kindle Fire HD is cheap but it is smaller in size with a slower processor and is available in Wi-Fi only versions. The winner is still undecided and it looks like we have to wait till October to find out if the Amazon Kindle Fire HD actually ruins Christmas for the Google Nexus 7.
