Watching Season 1 of Game of Thrones

Another great TV series form HBO, and as you know it’s based on George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel. If you’re a fan of the novel then this is a must watch, but like any other book that’s been turned into a movie or TV series, you can expect some inaccuracies and maybe even some new plots that weren’t in the book.

game of thrones

None the less it’s still a pretty good show and it has nudity and a little erotic scene here and there, what more can a guy want in a HBO series? Guys will dig in to this series, but I’m a girl and I still like it. Alright, back to the review. Game of Thrones puts you in a fantasy world of Westeros, where everybody wants to be the King or to be close to the king. In short the story is all about power and keeping in power by any means necessary, the characters are all unique in their own ways ( even though some of the actor choices are a bit questionable…. But then again that’s Hollywood for you) and you can find your selves rooting for one character and then hating his bloody guts the next episode.

There are characters that you will always root for even though their complete horrible human beings, for example Tyrion Lannister played by Peter Hayden Dinklage (Great actor by the way). Although there are characters that didn’t shine like in the book and I guess it can’t be help because you can’t all put the whole book in the TV series. So if you haven’t seen the series catch up on season one and give Game of Thrones a go.
